EARLY ACCESS: The Great Lightning Debate: Hype or Flop w/ Paul Sztorc & Harsha Goli

Lightning might be the most controversial thing in Bitcoin. Everyone has a strong opinion its the future or DOA.

Hey Bitcoiner,

This week, I had the privilege of sitting down to moderate a topic that sits at the very heart of Bitcoin's future as a global currency: The Lightning Network.

Is it the revolutionary scaling solution that will bring Bitcoin to the masses, or is it an overhyped, centralized distraction?

To get to the bottom of it, I brought together two fantastic thinkers for The Great Lightning Debate:

  • Paul Sztorc (creator of Drivechains and a well-known Bitcoin thinker) who argues that Lightning might be more hype than substance.

  • Harsha Goli (CEO of Magnolia and ex-Lightning dev at Fold, Swan, Voltage) who makes the case for Lightning as the essential next step for Bitcoin.

We dove deep into the core philosophies separating these two points of view. It was a fascinating and fiery discussion that covered everything from channel management and liquidity, the role of custody and groupthink in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

As a thank you for being a subscriber, I'm giving you exclusive early access to watch the full debate this weekend before it goes public on Monday.
